This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I began back in the summer of 2005, when I purchased my first camera. It was a Nikon Coolpix 5900, I still believe that some of my best pictures were taken with this camera. While in high school I took the photography class that was offered. It was here the I began to learn the basics and technical side of taking pictures. I am glade I started with such a simple camera because I was able to think more of what I was taking a picture of then how to take the picture. This even extends through today. I do not use manual mode too much because I want to think more of my subject than the settings and I do not want to miss a shot because I had the wrong setting.
After a year or so I became more interested in photography as a hobby. I read everything I could find online and studied pictures. I spent a few months researching cameras to upgrade to. I settled on a Nikon D50. I was able to find a used one through Craig's List for a fair price. I've added on lenses since. I still use my father's old Konica film camera time to time.
When I started out I avoided taking pictures of people and now I can barely take a picture without having someone in it. People just add a new level to the image. I have also began working with multiple off-camera flashes. I try to make light a very important part of my images. I either take advantage of the available light or I create my own. Light is my life.
I usually have my friends model or friends of friends'. I am always looking for anyone that would like to shoot. If you are interested please send me a message and we can set something up. Besides shooting to pass time I have shot a wedding, head-shots, and senior portraits. People are often surprised when they find out that I am not a photography major but rather a Theatre Design and Production: BFA. I enjoy photography too much to make it a career.
I have had work featured through Visit Beloit, Pleasant Street Coffee House, Beloit Public Library, and Beloit Art Walk 2009.
